To celebrate Canada 150 we took original uncirculated 1967 silver dollars and counterstruck a limited amount with original designs for the 150th anniversary of Canada, the 50th anniversary of he last silver dollar struck for circulation as well as various other important anniversaries, including: the 100th anniversary of the Halifax Explosion in 1917 and the Battle of Vimy Ridge, the 70th anniversary of the last coinage struck for Newfoundland, the 300th anniversary of Freemasonry, plus a special strike for the City of Halifax.
